Adriano Zumbo and A 44.5-Degree Day
The mercury rose to 44.5 degrees Celcius in Sydney today. But thankfully, I managed to get hold of Adriano Zumbo's limited edition Chocolate Mousse Cake to cheer me up.
The cake's recipe calls for 28 types of ingredients for 11 elements - including cinnamon pate sable, apple filling, salted caramel, sabayon mousse, chocolate blackberry ganache, biscuit decor jaconde, cigarette decor paste and chocolate spray. In the words of Poh from Masterchef, "Who makes desserts like that?" Well, I'm glad that Zumbo does.
And of course it's a crime to leave Zumbo without some macarons. Thanks for the heads up, Bella of Ooh Look.

I managed to get one of those limited edition MasterChef cakes too, but it half melted on the way home! Luckily it still tasted great! :)
Glad you managed to get your hands on the mousse cake. And judging by your brilliant photo, you didn't drop it like I did - resulted in the green choc thing getting cracked :(
Hi joey@FoodiePop - Taste is all that matters!
Hi Belle - I thought your photos looked great! And the chipped bit wasn't obvious at all :)

Hi grace - Hehe, some people like going to the beach on a hot day. But I like seeking refuge in food :)
